Vancouver 2010 Olympic Theme Birthday Party for my 1 year old?

First of all, is this theme for you or for your child? Will your child and the other kids there understand the Olympics theme or would they be happier with something more focued around children? I think you're choosing a horrible theme for a 1 year old's birthday party. This is aobut your child enjoying himself/herself, not about you and your adult family having a good time. although you should be able to design a party where both can enjoy. If you want an Olympic party, why not just plan a separate Olympic Part and something different for your child? Again, a one year old woul be happier with Mickey Mouse, Winni the Pooh, Cars, or Elmo.
